With just a couple of weeks left until the release of 22 Jump Street, Sony Pictures have released a new clip for the film, which sees Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum team up as Morton Schmidt and Greg Jenko, respectively. In the clip we find Jenko and Schmidt on top of a moving truck, attempting to apprehend some criminals, whilst also remain firmly footed on top of the vehicle. This proves to be quite a challenge for Schmidt, as he finds himself upside down and hanging off of the truck, or at various points of danger in the clip, the last of which being presumably hit by a metal bar which is blocking his path. Meanwhile, the ever fearless Jenko is smashing in the truck’s window, attempting to get the criminals to stop the truck.
Being considered too ‘old’ for high school, 22 Jump Street sees the duo tackle college, going undercover again in order to take down a secret drug ring. The clip foreshadows the continual danger that Schmidt and Jenko will most likely face, which begs the question as to what could be worse than trying to apprehend criminals whilst trying not to fall off a moving truck and die? Well, when Schmidt and Jenko get involved, there’s most likely going to be a whole heap of chaos and disaster, so expect great things. With all the familiar faces from the first film, like Ice Cube’s Captain Dickson and Dave Franco’s Eric Molsen (not to mention Nick Offerman’s Deputy Chief Hardy), we can look forward to seeing some more hilarious adventures and top-notch action scenes.
