If there is one thing that doesn’t sit well with the rest of the X-Men: Days of Future Past film is that we have a less than wanted return of Wolverine. It’s not that we don’t like Wolverine, that isn’t the case because frankly any movie with a sneering Hugh Jackman and his glorious mutton chops is welcome in my books. No, the problem here is that the clawed hero has become one of the most irritating members of the X-Men series since he gurned his way through his stand alone movies.
So now he takes centre stage again in yet another X-Men series because it seems the team behind the franchise can’t spend more than one film without sandwiching in. Never mind, I am sure there are other things to do with the new movie than just Wolverine. Like this brand new clip from the hotly anticipated movie that showcases a wonderful and incredible new cast with characters such as…
Oh….
Wolverine.
Perhaps this isn’t the best character to focus on considering the stellar line up. It’s a little bit unfair that not only does he seems to steal a storyline from my personal favourite Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat (played by another personal favourite, Ellen Page,) but it seems that the world has truly had enough of him.
Saying all this, there is no denying that Days of Future Past looks so incredible delicious and exciting that we can look over the Wolverine heroics, welcome Jackman back from his time wailing in revolutionary France and love the amalgamation of old and new cast battling to save a desolate future.
Or as I like to call it, Mutants In Flares.
