Here at I’m With Geek we are often discussing the fine works of others whether we’re gushing over the latest films in the cinema, the latest issue of our favourite comics, the latest edition of beloved novels, the latest episode of our favourite tv shows or the latest release of a good game franchise. Now the tables have turned, so to speak. Our very own Sarah Cook has written and will be directing a short film called The Rogue Table with some of our other talented I’m With Geek staff as part of the crew. The idea is simple: we use tables all the time without a second thought but what if they fought back against their human oppressors?
So what are the filmmakers hoping for for The Rogue Table? They want to kick off a brand new series of short films called Literally Speaking where they take phrases and put them into narrative context. With The Rogue Table, this is the kind of film that really should be seen to be believed but in order to get it made, they need help!
IWG Media and Cinelanguage Films are a small production company with very limited funds and require contributions to get the budget together so they can acquire equipment, locations, pay for cast & crew etc. Even the smaller contributions will go towards the production with some excellent perks should you choose to donate. Perks range from a shout-out to a DVD pack, mock horror posters to an invite to a screening.
In an age where multi-million pound companies dominate the screens, it’s fantastic to see people who are going on a much lower budget coming up with original and genuinely fun ideas that all must go to see.
