Last night saw a brilliant worldwide event come straight from Middle Earth and into the homes of Hobbit's, Elves and Dwarves everywhere. Director Peter Jackson arranged a fantastic event for all fans. Linking cinemas globally and within the major cities alongside stars of Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lily, Luke Evans and more. We’re following the incredible journey to the second Hobbit instalment; The Desolation of Smaug.
The Desolation of Smaug picks up right where Unexpected ends. The famous Hobbit played iconicly by Martin Freeman is on a mission alongside Gandalf (Ian McKellen) and twelve dwarves led by Thorin (Richard Armitage). The Dwarves aim to reclaim a mountain they once called home, now inhabited by a brutal dragon named Smaug. With a tense relationship between dwarves and elves and a mysterious ring in Bilbos' pocket, can their journey continue successfully? And what troubles will lay in there path?
If you were one of the lucky people to get involed with this exclusive event, you must be as excited as we are. Not only were members of fan based audience brightly adorned with cosplay and giddiness, but we were treated to some wickedly good answers, some fantastic footage and a behind the scenes look at the making of the film in Peter Jackson’s video diary. Of course, if you were one of the few cinemas hosting the event, you got to see extra!
All in all, it has certainly set off a whole Gandalf firework show inside us! The movie is out 13th of December!
