As many of you will know, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug the second in a trilogy of films adapting Tolkien’s masterpiece The Hobbit, and has Academy Award®-winning director Peter Jackson backing it again. We see the return of most of our favourite characters from the first instalment such as Ian McKellen returns as Gandalf the Grey, with Martin Freeman in the central role of Bilbo Baggins, and Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield. The sultry voiced Benedict Cumberbatch is the fire breathing dragon Smaug anf Orland Bloom is back on the bow as Legolas the Elf. The all star cast also conists of Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Stephen Fry, Ken Stott, James Nesbitt Sylvester McCoy. This shows Jackson back on form, with outstanding special effects, not to mention the amazingly talented hair and make-up team! I’m sure it takes a lot of time to pop those hair feet on every day!
A must have for your DVD collection.
