So it’s the weekend and unfortunately, we’ve stopped with the “well, we’re at work and can’t do anything about it” excuses to quell the pangs of envy boiling in our stomachs and we are entire Hulk rage, green eyed monster about it all. Yes, San Diego Comic Con is in full swing and we’re grumbling on the other side of the pond, grumbling as we click another exclusive video, panel and flick through as much Benedict Cumberbatch news as possible. Sigh. This time next year, right?
Well, now we have simmered down, it’s time to bring you the latest film news from San Diego
Talking about Young Adult fiction turned into film, audiences at San Diego were treated to a very special screening of The Maze Runner. Notably starring Dylan O’Brian from the Teen Wolf television series and Will Poulter, The Maze Runner is yet another dystopian future where a bunch of boys are isolated in a community and have to run through unknown mazes to escape. While that may sound a bit dull, apparently the movie is rather impressive. The panel, which included O’Brian himself (who’d later appear in the Teen Wolf panel,) already announced that a sequels was in the works despite not the first not being released.
Finally, if there is one movie we are jealous of San Diego getting their hands on copious amounts of Age of Ultron news. Whilst we have already expressed our concerns over the movie, we can’t help but reveal in delight as Marvel moves forward in a phase that sees a Peggy Carter Television show, a further ten movies and Ultron less than a year away. To tantalise our excitement, they’ve gradually released character posters which make up a larger one.
Here’s what it looks like now. Now, where’s our trailer?
