It’s time to take another visit to I’m With Geek’s favourite cinema as they put on some more brilliant events! More fundraising events are being held to make The Ritz one of, if not, THE best cinema around.
So, what’s on next weekend?
Well you better get down there for the next part of their Tim Burton season, where they’re playing the 80s classic Beetlejuice! It’s the tale of a young couple (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis), who buy a new house but are tragically killed in an accident. Returning as ghosts, they go to extremes to rid their house of the new family who have just moved in, and hire bio-exorcist Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a crude and morbid ghost, who wreaks havoc upon the house, leaving it up the ghost couple to stop him. The film is one of the best of the 80's, proof that Tim Burton does have talent, and has some legendary scenes. Catch it on 19th June at 7:00 PM.
Also happening next weekend is the animated film that everyone was, is and will never stop talking about. Yes, it’s Frozen, the story of a young princess named Anna (Kristen Bell) who, with the help of ice delivery man Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), his reliable reindeer Sven and cute snowman Olaf (Josh Gad), sets out to find and console her isolated sister Elsa (Adel Kazeem-I mean, um, Idina Menzel). Elsa possesses an unique freezing power that she cannot control and frozen the entire kingdom with. It’s a cute film, one that kids will definitely enjoy, and those of you adults who are still kids at heart will love it even more. But that’s not all. There will also be a raffle to win a life sized model of Olaf, supplied by The Picture Paradise Creature Workshop. Head to the screening and buy some tickets for your chance to win! The screening will be held on 21st June at 12:30 pm.
Things only get better and better at the Ritz, so don’t miss any of their fantastic screenings! Buy tickets here!
