It was purely coincidental that a few days after the release of the news that the Platform 9 ¾ shop was open that I was actually heading to Kings Cross. It had been on my bucket list to visit 9 ¾ and yesterday I got the chance to visit and to get my picture taken (perhaps I will show you guys some point soon.) It is relatively hard to find a shop that sells just Harry Potter merchandise, both on the streets and online, so I think it is great that there is now an online shop to couple with the one at King’s Cross.

The website is pretty easy to navigate, spilt into sections: Apparel, Souvenirs, Collectibles, Books & DVD’s and Sweets. Theses sections are then split into smaller sections for easy browsing. Also no house prejudices I am glad to say. Being a Hufflepuff, I do often find it hard to find things related to my house, as usually Harry Potter merchandise is dominated with Griffindor and the occasional Slytherin.
Oh, and it is also probably a good idea to give you the web address: http://www.harrypotterplatform934.com/
Though for the proper experience, I recommend at some point visiting the Platform 9 ¾ Shop in Kings Cross Station, and getting your picture taken running into 9 ¾ with your trolley and choice of scarf.
