There is nothing better than seeing home grown talent exceed in every possible way. It’s even better when a bunch of film-makers do something completely stellar, original and fresh that earns a massive amount of award buzz whilst simultaneously garnering critical acclaim. One such movie, now an Oscar and BAFTA nominated movie is Daisy Jacobs and Chris Wilder’s The Bigger Picture.
Now,in case you missed it, it’s definitely worth checking out because the film is a romping technical and artistic success that is gloriously envisaged and brilliantly executed. The stop motion animation with live-size paintings interacting with their surroundings is visually and narratively great. Whilst breaking the boundaries of 3D, 2D and cinematic animation, they also told a tender and heart-felt movie about the impact of ageing parents and the strain between two very different brothers. Jacobs and Wilder have excellently done something new here.
However, for this venture, the pair are in need of help from the cinematic community and are taking to Kickstarter in order to raise funds. Obviously, the work here is taxing but the end result is beautiful. Daisy and Chris are nearing their goal and need just a few pennies or more in order to craft something original that beats with such a humanistic heart. Their vision is excellent and they are doing innovative work that, anybody who is a fan of the film industry should passionately support. The film will be wildly imaginative and the team behind it work around the clock, until sweat is dripping off their paint brushes, to make sure it is fully realised.
When Jacobs and Wilder get together, it is exciting and that should ripple from this Kickstarter campaign and those who donated can become part of something truly special. Make sure you don’t miss out on this stirring project and you can get some great rewards from it including handmade items and set pieces (which when The Bigger Picture wins the Oscar will be invaluable!)
Don’t just sniff at this opportunity, see the bigger picture! Check out their Kickstarter now!
