With just over a week to go until the release of Guardians of the Galaxy, it’s understandable that you’d be looking for anything Marvel related to pass the time and engage with your favourite characters. Well, be bored no more as on Tuesday 22nd July you can connect with the cast members and filmmakers of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy live via Twitter and Tumblr. Say what? Yes, we have been gifted with two separate fan Q&A events to revel and participate in, bringing us that ever bit closer to the actual film.
But never fear, in case Twitter isn’t your thing (or you can’t make the Q&A), you have the opportunity to participate in the Yahoo/Tumblr Fan Q&A! Yahoo Entertainment is also hosting the same group from Guardians of the Galaxy on the Yahoo campus in Sunnyvale, Calif., for a live Tumblr Ask Q&A! Anyone who tunes in will see an exclusive clip from the film and, if you submit a video question, you have the chance to win a signed cast movie poster! At this point, we’re finding it hard to contain our enthusiasm and excitement. You can live stream the event on Yahoo Screen on all your favourite portable tablets, as well as online via the Internet and the like. This exclusive event starts at 7:00pm EDT/4:00pm PDT (that’s 11:00pm GMT). You can watch the event live at this link at the allocated time.
Guardians of the Galaxy follows Peter Quill/Star Lord (Pratt) as he is hunted down after stealing an orb coveted by the menacing Ronan. In order to evade his pursuer, he teams up with a gang of misfits, including deadly assassin Gamora (Saldana), the revengeful Drax the Destroyer (Bautista), a tree humanoid named Groot (Vin Diesel) and a gun-weilding Raccoon named Rocket (Bradley Cooper). When Quill discovers the powers that the orb possesses, the unlikely team must assemble in order to save the galaxy from the hands of those who would destroy it.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will ascend into cinemas on the 31st July in the UK, and the 1st August in the USA.
