It is a great time to be a Star Wars fan. With the Lost Missions of Star Wars: The Clone Wars already on Netflix, a TV show about to begin (Star Wars Rebels), and the new movie coming up next year, opening what it seems to be a swirl of films from a galaxy far, far away...
We couldn´t let this pass by, so Echo Base is born, a whole new section dedicated to the Star Wars Universe, including films news, reviews, merchandise, books, games...
And what better news to start out than the official announcement from Disney and Lucasfilm that Episode VII is starting principal photography in London, at Pinewood Studios, this May!
Further more, we now know that the story will be set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi.
The movie will follow, in words of Disney CEO Bob Iger, “a trio of new young leads alongside some very familiar faces”.
Casting announcements should happen soon as we are merely a month from May. In the meantime, we can only guess about what will we see in the film. Will this trio may well be Jacen, Jaina and Anakin Solo, sons of Han Solo and Leia Organa?
Whats going on in the galaxy after 30 years of the dead Empire? Gone are the Emperor and Darth Vader, so is the Jedi Order rebuilt?
We´ll know soon enough as there is much more to be announced.
