Yet another casting has been made in Star Wars Episode VII. More famed for her role as part of Kiefer Sutherland’s action television series 24 in the shows last season, Christina Chong steps up to the ranks of Rebel fighters and alien Princesses. Though many will recognise her from the prior show, Chong has also featured in Doctor Who, Black Mirror: The Waldo Problem and more. Already akin to the fast pace of guns, fights and corruption, it’s clear that Chong will happily fit in to the Star Wars universe.
There isn’t a casting that goes by that doesn’t fill me with the utmost excitement. When it comes to Star Wars Episode VII , it seems that J.J. Abrams is doing the complete opposite of what he did in the Star Trek Universe and is plucking the most diverse cast imaginable because why the hell not? And the good thing here is that it’s not a publicity stunt, it is literally because these people are a collection of talented actors who genuinely could propel the galactic series into brand new heights. Even if you weren’t a big fan of Star Wars, the news has many bustling with excitement.
