We’re perilously close to the home release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (up there with Marvel’s best films to date, surely?) and to celebrate this the studio has released two deleted scenes for us to watch at our leisure. Whilst not exactly brimming with action, both scenes offer a cool insight into the world of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the dodgy goings on therein.
The first scene features a bit of a spat between Agent Hill and the irritating Agent Sitwell. It’s a clip that was obviously never finished, seeing that there’s still a lot of green screen hanging around, but it’s a great way to see the tension that builds inside the agency during the movie.
The second scene, which will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray, shows a heap of armed men hunting down Cap (for reasons I won’t go into... spoilers!) and rather rudely breaking up a basketball game. There was plenty of this going on in the movie anyway so the scene is a tad redundant (hence the cutting), but it’s still badass to watch our hero slip away with ease.
I guess these aren’t exactly legendary clips but they’re enough to get my waters churning for the movie’s release in the next few weeks.
