As if we couldn’t love her anymore (I mean, come on, she was a billionaire and lost that status because she donated so much to charity), J. K. Rowling has gone and done it again. She’s approved a bibliography behind the making of her hit book series, Harry Potter. Now we’re finding out that a new book, J.K. Rowling: A Bibliography 1997-2013, is being released. The book is going to be detailing some of the action that took place behind the scenes of the hit series.
Christopher Little, Jo’s then agent, had to pass off the finished manuscript for Order of the Phoenix to Bloomsbury executive Nigel Newton. Sure, there’s nothing unusual about that, except for the fact that it had to be done discreetly due to the enormity of the series. Nigel and Christopher met in a pub, with the manuscript in a plastic Sainsbury’s bag. Christopher sat down at a table and, in true espionage form, placed it by his feet. When Nigel got up to leave, he (instead of Christopher) grabbed the bag, took it home and placed it in his personal safe.
The book, which is currently sitting at 544 pages, is a must have for all Potter fans. It will be full of currently unknown information, including how certain books were originally going to be released under different titles. It is written by Philip Errington and has been approved by Jo herself. Anyone want to lend this Potter fan this book?
