However, let’s take a look at the literary version, as many forget that’s where the stage and film versions are adapted form. With a film adaptation being released on February of this year, we might as well take a look at the original material. I’m terribly sorry, in advance, for any puns that may come up in this article. Based on the hit musical of the same name, composed by Stephen Sondheim and the book written by James Lapine. The show revolves around several famous fairy tales and how they interact with each other, including Cinderella, Rapunzel and Red Riding Hood. But where did the material come from?
