Click for Source Image Pretty Little Liars is a murder mystery Young Adult series of novels focusing on four girls and their supposedly dead best friend, Allison. The series also features a threat who calls themselves ‘A’, who terrorises the girls and blackmails them constantly.
There is also a very popular TV adaptation of the novels, starring Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay Mitchell and Troian Bellisario as the secretive main leads.
Shepard’s future plans for her career were recently announced, with her wanting to step away from the ladies of Rosewood and embark on her new project, titled The Perfectionists. The series is set to debut in October of this year. According to sources, the series will be based around a group of girls, desperate to get revenge on a popular, mean boy that has wronged them all in some way, but before they can, tragedy strikes and the boy ends up dead before they can put their plans into motion.
Shepard has said that the cast of new characters are a lot darker and more mysterious than our beloved Pretty Little Liars, which gets all of the fans wondering what the best-selling author has up her sleeve for this new project! Sara Shepard has also stated that "There's more just really scary stuff going on just right from the get-go." This makes us all here at IWG Books very excited to see where she will go with this new story. What could be more scarier than ‘A’ terrorising Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer? Can the author of this amazing series top what she has already written?
