Jojo Moyes is known for writing best selling novels that are gritty, fun and honest. For the past several decades, she has been working as a British journalist and romance novelist. Jojo is also within a very select handful have twice won the Romantic Novel of the Year Award. Her novels are best sellers and to date, have been translated into eleven different languages.
In 2002, Jojo became a full time novelist and her first book, entitled Sheltering Rain, was published. This was followed by Foreign Fruit (Windfall in the US) in 2003 and The Peacock Emporium in 2004. Other books have included Silver Bay, The Girl You Left Behind and Honeymoon in Paris. Jojo’s 2012 novel, Me Before You (which also happens to be one of three novels Jojo wrote and were published in 2012) is probably one of Jojo’s most famous books. It was announced in 2013 that Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber have been hired to write a film adaptation of the book. Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games films) and Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) are both attached to the film. Jojo continues to write for The Daily Telegraph.
Me Before You has become one of my utmost favourite novels, probably of all time. After I finished reading it for the first time, I immediately started it over. The book has become a staple in my purse, it’s one of those books that comes everywhere. I am SO excited for the film adaptation. Jojo is a talented writer and deservedly receives recognition for that. Here’s to many more years of amazing books!
