Good lord it’s everywhere! Another challenge has gone viral, another type of video you’ll see when you log onto Twitter or Facebook. We’ve all seen the cinnamon challenge, which is quite a self-destructive thing to do, but this time around the challenge is not only less threatening, it’s hilarious to watch and most importantly, it’s for a good cause! So here I am to explain what it’s all about.

So here I am to explain what it’s all about. by Christopher Money When our editor, William, expressed to me his interest to take part in a tabletop roleplaying game, you could say I was rather excited. But I was also apprehensive, as I had to make this right. I had to hold a game that would sow a good impression of tabletops to him and to the other players around the table, only one of whom would be a seasoned roleplayer. I had to balance game with story, and keep attentions focused. by William John Occasionally, celebrities do things that make us love them even more. In recent times, Cumberbatch photobombed U2 at the Oscars; the whole world cheered. Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart are always posting nerdy, bromantic pictures on Twitter; we love them for it. Now, Arthur Darvill, who famously played Rory Williams alongside Matt Smith and Karen Gillan in Doctor Who has performed something that has taken the internet by storm. by William John We all know the classic image of the last supper, painted beautifully by Leonardo da Vinci in the late 15th Century, designed to portray the last supper between Jesus Christ and his disciples before he was crucified on what we now celebrate as Easter. Specifically, the image portrays the moment Jesus announces that one of the diners will betray him. We all know the story, including, it would seem, a number of cheeky film makers, directors and animators who have seen fit to imitate the classic image with their own characters. Whether it's a symbolic/subversive use of the image, or an obvious mockery, here are some of the best 'Last Supper' imitations we've seen. Call them humorous or blasphemous, we love them all the same! Nathan Fillion is a God in our eyes. If you think we are saying that lightly, then you are on the wrong site. This team is completely in awe of the actor who rose to God like status as Captain Malcolm Reynolds in Firefly. He has since amazed us in Castle, made us laugh in Much Ado and self-referenced himself in Percy Jackson. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. He has accumulated a large fan base and appease them by being awesome in so many different ways. So naturally, some members of I’m With Geek want to share our love and say Happy Birthday Nathan Fillion to the Canadian actor! By William John Hello everyone! We're back! Sorry we've had a very quiet few months, I'd like to personally apologise to all of our readers and to the writers who were ready and waiting. Hopefully, with the changes we've now put in place, such problems won't happen again. So, what happened in our absence and what changes have been made? Firstly, some great news - Our SECOND Nerdette! That's right, staff writer Heather Stromski and her Husband, Brian, were blessed with baby Stella Josslyn Stromski! The I'm With Geek baby pool is slowly growing, the geeks are taking over! By William John Ladies and Gentlemen, readers and writers, it's my great pleasure to introduce you to I'm With Geek's first baby! Please join us in congratulating staff writers (and two of my closest friends) Danielle Vickers and Patrick West in the birth of their baby girl, Alexi Fae Vickers West. Both Mother and child are doing great. Please feel free to leave comments and well wishes below. Apologies for the lack of uploads in the last couple of days, hopefully this wonderful news explains everything. Normal service will resume immediately. Alexi marks the first of hopefully many geek babies from our writers, a new generation... the Geeks shall inherit the Earth! By William John This video has been circling the net for a couple of years now, however given that tomorrow sees the airing of the 85th Academy Awards ceremony, we thought it prudent to share this today. On the subject of the Oscars, our very own Cookie 'N' Screen will be live blogging the entire event through her site for those of you who want to keep up to date with the outcome! |
