Occasionally, celebrities do things that make us love them even more. In recent times, Cumberbatch photobombed U2 at the Oscars; the whole world cheered. Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart are always posting nerdy, bromantic pictures on Twitter; we love them for it. Now, Arthur Darvill, who famously played Rory Williams alongside Matt Smith and Karen Gillan in Doctor Who has performed something that has taken the internet by storm.

Now, Arthur Darvill, who famously played Rory Williams alongside Matt Smith and Karen Gillan in Doctor Who has performed something that has taken the internet by storm. by William John We all know the classic image of the last supper, painted beautifully by Leonardo da Vinci in the late 15th Century, designed to portray the last supper between Jesus Christ and his disciples before he was crucified on what we now celebrate as Easter. Specifically, the image portrays the moment Jesus announces that one of the diners will betray him. We all know the story, including, it would seem, a number of cheeky film makers, directors and animators who have seen fit to imitate the classic image with their own characters. Whether it's a symbolic/subversive use of the image, or an obvious mockery, here are some of the best 'Last Supper' imitations we've seen. Call them humorous or blasphemous, we love them all the same! |
