And this month, if you’re interested in scriptwriting, BAFTA are here to spoil you, with a range of events whichever genre you’re interested in. by Ben Mapp The BAFTA’s learning and events team have given information regarding their activities this June. For those who don’t know, they describe this programme as offering unique access of those interested to some of the world’s greatest talent through masterclasses, lectures, workshops, scholarships and mentoring schemes, with a range from a series of age groups. by Helen Langdon All year round, BAFTA provide opportunities for members of the public to attend classes, lectures, and screenings, designed to help those who want to either break into the industry, or are just interested in film and television production. And this May, the programme is jam-packed full of interesting events to attend. by Gloria Daniels-Moss Want the chance to win two tickets to this year’s TV awards? Well the nice chaps at BAFTA have given you exactly that. As you may know, earlier this month it was reported that BBC Two’s drama by the talented Mr. Mark Gatiss An Adventure In Space and Time has been nominated for Best Single Drama, and so it should. Not only have they bagged that category the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary 3D spectacular that was The Day of the Doctor has also been entered in for the Radio Times Audience Award. So what does this have to do with the competition you say? Well to enter one must submit a witty caption for the picture below of food writer and broadcaster Mary Berry which contains a Dalek, naturally. The ceremony shall be held at the Theatre Royal in London on Sunday 18th May. |
