Yes you heard right, Peter Capaldi has won this years TV Personality of the year, To see such a talented actor take on the Role of ‘The Doctor’ has been a joy for us all to watch, and it’s fantastic to see him getting some recognition as the superb actor he is.
Capaldi has famously been a huge fan of Doctor Who since a very early age, writing so many letters to the producers of Doctor Who that he was sent a box of scripts to shut him up; one producer even wished him to be exterminated by daleks at one point! Not only a talented actor but a fine director too, Capaldi won an Oscar for his short film Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life in 1993. Of course, we couldn’t not mention Malcom Tucker, the loud, foul-mouthed Scotsman we love from The Thick of It. Yet another superbly cast role for Capaldi.
On behalf of all of I’m With Geek, I’d like to congratulate Peter Capaldi on winning a much deserved award, given his performance in his two episodes so far, I’m sure it will be the first of many awards to come.
Keep up the good work, Peter!
