Most of us are familiar with the sandbox game that is Minecraft, it’s taken the world by storm. The purpose of the game is simple, build stuff. And make sure you have shelter at night because that’s when the monsters come out!
Fun game as it is, whether you’re building a place to live and grow or building a scale replica of Denmark using one terabyte worth of blocks (which incidentally happened last week and this week before falling victim to cunning hackers with TNT…), wouldn’t it be good if you could make things a little more fun?
Using these downloads you can simply and easily change almost anything about your game. Why not have some new enemies? Weeping Angels, anyone? Make traps, blocks of sand that explode, mines, locks and codes. It’s everything you need to turn an already amazing game into any game you’ve ever wanted, it’s so diverse!
Now it has to be said that yes, these Mods are designed by players so their trust-ability should be based on reviews. The best place to look is on YouTube, where there’s lots of users reviews lurking.
Look at what there is to offer; blocks for the builders, more realistic looking materials, the tricksters sets with bombs and blowy-uppy stuff! Why not build a house under the sea? Ever wanted a bigger inventory or an emerald sword? How about a furniture mod? Haven’t you always wanted to have a sofa, TV, oven, coffee maker around your Minecraft house to make it a bit more at homey?
Oh, did I mention that these are Free?
So check them out and see if there’s anything you like! Sadly this is only for the PC Version. I’m sure more Mods and updates for the Xbox and PS3 version of the game will come (along with more updates like the Wither) but at the moment there’s nothing Trustworthy enough to comment on, so we’ll just have to wait.
Until next time, Happy Friday and have a great weekend!
