Well the title wasn’t made to impress, but the game certainly will… Firstly you might have noticed there was no Fun Friday last week, apologies, I was too enthralled in this game.
So, what is Falling Sand? Falling Sand is a little Java powered game, which is possibly the most addictive game you will ever play. The idea is simple; you’ve got a blank canvas and tools to mess about with! You have Walls, Cera (Wax), Plant, Water, Oil, Fire, Spout (Rains Water!) Sand, Salt and the dreaded ‘???’
There’s one thing I haven’t mentioned, the oddest part of the game is the NAMEKUJI. Thought to be Japanese for slug, the Namekuji is the strange yellow thing that is moving round the window. As with a real slug, it likes water and detests salt. Pour water on it and it will grow, wiping out everything in its path, pour salt over it and it’ll shrink until it eventually pops and reappears elsewhere. This can be frozen or mate to disappear.
It’s horribly addictive! So I think it’s now time to let you have a go for yourself! When you first get onto it, you’ll notice Oil, Water, Salt and Sand are falling from the sky. You can switch these off and I find it more fun if you do.
It’s so popular that several alternate versions have been made; I find the more fun to be “Hell Of Sand” Which is similar to this game, but with tiny little stick men to mess about with! I like this game so much! It’s addictive, it relieves stress and it lets you get creative, there are all sorts of things you can draw, but to show my loyalty to you guys, I’ll leave you with just one…
