Have you ever looked around a space and thought, where the hell is all the art? True, we’ve become such a society that may miss out on beautiful masterpieces as we scroll on our laptops and phones. The saturation of the technologically social means that artists are missing out on constant eyes gazing at masterful brushstrokes. So why not shove art in people’s faces (in the nicest way possible)? That is the aim of the Art Everywhere project and it is back this year bigger and better than before.
The idea has been launched as of today, you can head to Facebook and you can vote for the top 25 pieces that will be scattered around the nation for the public to see. You’ll have just three weeks to make your choice so make sure you chose wisely because you’ll be, gladly, seeing it everywhere. This is a fantastic project to get behind, with unknown artists allowed to showcase their talents and a splash of colour being added to a humdrum British life. For free, you can appreciate work on the way to work and expand your artistic knowledge. Last year, press and public flocked to this project and you can do the same this year. With such brimming talent across our little Isles (so much so that USA have gotten involved), it seems foolish not to back it.
So get voting so you can enjoy Art Everywhere.
