The first Saturday of May FINALLY decided to show up and present Free Comic Book Day! This was officially Perth Comics Centre's first FCBD and the energetic staff could not wait to dress up, talk geeky and just overall have a kickass day with fellow comic book readers!
The first Saturday of May FINALLY decided to show up and present Free Comic Book Day! This was officially Perth Comics Centre's first FCBD and the energetic staff could not wait to dress up, talk geeky and just overall have a kickass day with fellow comic book readers!
What was so great about FCBD is that people dressed up, got into the spirit of the event and embraced that huge geek within. While many sneer at the fact that people read comics, this is an industry which brings together creative minds and broad imaginations, that is why some of the most unique conversations you will ever have are with comic book enthusiasts. Even though I am 26 years old I never tire of seeing someone dressed up as Batman, that child inside of me still giggles and gets way too excited when I see the Worlds Greatest Detective; and it's those happy feelings which will never leave me. Whether you dressed as a Ninja Turtle, Spiderman, or even if you just came as yourself, everyone came together for an event for one reason...Comics.
There were some really great titles this year included in FCBD...including Mighty Morphin Power Rangers...yep don't deny you ALL picked up a copy of that for nostalgia reasons! What were some of the titles you guys picked up? Were there some you loved and some you thought could have been better?
