This year sees the release of The Drop, starring Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace and James Gandolfini in his final film role, and honestly, it looks phenomenal. It could be one of the best films of the year, with promising trailers and reviews.
A new clip has been released from the film, as Hardy and Rapace’s character have coffee at a diner as it pours with rain outside. Hardy notices a scar on Rapace’s neck but tries to avoid asking about it. She tells him it’s the first thing people ask her about, but he claims that it’s none of his business. She recounts to him how it happened and they mutually agree that it was painful. She tells him she was a much different person when it happened and that she didn’t like, and the clip ends as he questions whether she likes herself now.
It’s not the most exciting clip in the world but it’s still quite interesting, and shows the chemistry between Hardy and Rapace. Hopefully next time we can have a clip featuring Gandolfini to get a taste of his most likely brilliant performance.
The Drop is out 12th September.
