No, this isn’t a less exciting cut of Age of Ultron, but rather a drama that follows a young woman named Adaline (Blake Lively) living in the 1930's who, after a freak accident, finds that she does not physically age. Everyone she loves grows old and dies off, and she finds herself questioning the point of life when she can’t grow old with anyone, until she meets a handsome man (Michiel Huisman) who draws her out of her shell.
It doesn’t look like a bad film per say, but rather, a ‘nothing’ film. You know those kind of films where you just think “Did I benefit from watching that?” and realise you didn’t need to see it? That’s how The Age of Adaline looks, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it can’t be good. It has a great cast in it, including Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn, and has a very interesting concept behind it.
The Age of Adaline is out in 2015.
