Stretch has gone through a very hard journey on its way to the big-screen. Originally being set for cinematic premiere back in March, Universal Studios dropped it from its release slate. However, thanks to the like of iTunes and Amazon, releases are starting from October 7th and we are excited to find its trailer debut below.
Stretch is an action-comedy in which all hell breaks loose in LA during one intense night. Starring Patrick Wilson, the film follows Kevin, a limo driver who finds himself running low on good luck. The trailer shows his cheating girlfriend breaking up with him during sex and explains that he’s in a bit of debt due to his bad gambling habit. The men he owes to demand $6,000 by midnight and this is where things get a little crazy…
In complete and utter desperation, Kevin takes a job from a crazed billionaire who claims he wants a taxi-driver that goes the ‘extra mile’. As you could imagine, Kevin’s 24-hour quest quickly turns into a nightmare of drugs, murder, guns, stolen vehicles and so on.
Judging by the trailer, you would have expected more than $5m to be spent on such a film. Wilson has the utmost energising performance and has a terrific supporting cast. Chris Pine plays the crazed businessman which Ed Helms, David Hasselhoff, Jessica Alba and Ray Liotta all join in on the fun.
