The trailer ends with the chilling tagline “Discover how little you know, about the people you know”. It’s a very though provoking tagline, and gives this film an even more sinister feel. The film looks amazing. Up in the Air and Juno were both brilliant so it’s in good hands with Jason Reitman. It has some big names attached, like Jennifer Garner and Adam Sandler (who might even turn in his first decent film/performance in years), and rising star Ansel Elgort, who stole hearts as cancer patient Augustus Waters in The Fault in Our Stars, plays a role in the film too.
Whilst Up in the Air and Juno both had comedic elements too it, and was made obvious in the marketing, there isn’t a shred of comedy in this trailer, showing that it could be Reitman’s darkest film yet.
Men, Women and Children is out in September
