Anyway, the aptly named Knock Knock is the latest vehicle provided to Keanu Reeves lease-free for him to deliver yet more melancholic lines and dour facial expressions. We miss Neo, man. Nevertheless, there’s something rather unsettling about this trailer; Reeves plays Evan Webber and when his family are out to strange and rather attractive girls come a-knocking. He lets them in and, well, things go south faster than his post-Matrix acting career.
There’s definitely something of The Guest about this movie, though with more psychological terror and less 80s pulsing beats brimming in the background. It seems as though Webber’s world is going to get contorted from perfect to incredibly unpleasant, and we’re going to be taken along for the ride.
There’s no release date set for Knock Knock, but expect information to materialise once it has screened at Sundance.
