Samuel L Jackson as the president of the United States? Well I'm in, aren't you?
Finnish director Jalmari Helander brings us action adventure Big Game. Going camping seems like a normal thing for a young boy to do, however not everyone gets to rescue to president whilst toasting marshmallows on an open fire. After 13 year old Oskari (Onni Tommila) hears gun shots from his campsite and after realising Air Force One has been shot down by terrorists, it seems that this boy is his only hope.
From what we can see here this looks to simply be an action comedy and no one else should try and think it is anything but. With Jackson fronting the show, this is sure to be full of laughs and perfectly timed gags. Amongst the cast we have Thor’s Ray Stevenson, the iconic and immensely talented British actor that is Jim Broadbent and Desperate Housewives Felicity Huffman as the feminine touch.
Although appearing to be a smaller budget film than let’s say The Expendables, Big Game looks as though it could be a bit of fun with gun shots thrown in. This may not be everyone’s type of blockbuster, albeit from the cast list alone, one can’t help but be intrigued.
Have a look at the trailer and see if this takes your fancy.
Big Games crashes into cinemas May 8th.
