The first clip, “Smart House” shows Annie (Quvenzhane Wallis) entering Will Stack’s (Jamie Foxx) abode for the first time. She is absolutely bewildered by the technology and, when Grace (Rose Byrne) gets her to talk into a handheld machine to get her onto voice activation, she utters the words “I Think I’m Gunna Like it Here.” Classic Annie, you may think. But no, the song that follows is in no way similar to the original rendition of “I Think I’m Gunna Like it Here.” The tune is different and the lyrics are different. If you love the original score, then you probably won’t like this.
The three other clips are a lot shorter and features some of the comedy moments in the film. In the first, Annie is preparing a meal for herself and Will, by seemingly throwing any food she can find into the pot. She does so with such zest and confidence that, by the time they taste it, it’s hilarious to see them spit it out in disgust. The third clip shows us how Will came across Annie in the first place, by saving her from being run over. It gives us a glimpse of the dynamics of the friendship between Will and Grace, and also his relationship with work. The final clip shows how bad a person and a carer Miss Hannigan (Cameron Diaz) is.
Annie is set for release on the 20th of December, just in time for Christmas.
