It’s goodbye to Jason Statham and hello to Ed Skrien as The Transporter franchise has been rebooted for some reason, and it returns this September. Let’s take a look at the new trailer for The Transport Refuelled.
From the producers of Lucy and the Taken trilogy (In case you hadn’t quite given up on this film just yet), Skrien plays Frank Martin, the best transporter money can buy. Skilled and dangerous, he’s hired by femme fatale Anna, but soon discovers he’s been played. Anna and has kidnapped Frank’s father, and uses this to coerce him into helping her take down a group of Russian sex traffickers. Frank is prepared to break all his rules, and will do whatever it takes to save his father.
The trailer is mildly decent; so far it looks pretty well shot, but the humour falls flat every time it crops up and the cast aren’t exactly appealing either. Nevertheless, it could be decent “Turn off your brain” viewing.
The Transporter Refuelled is out September 4th.
