Of course, I’m only joking but what kind of reaction did people think they were going to get by throwing James Buckley into a horror movie? Because there are a lot of Inbetweeners jokes to be had here. Frankly, because we’re already sick to death of this film and all its tropes that seem to fill its new clips and trailers. Its yawn inducing and if we were anything like the horrific zombie mummy thing, we would definitely wish we weren’t awoken from our slumber (someone get it some coffee – stat).
The Pyramid follows a group of archaeologist’s who head into a brand new pyramid that unearths much more than just hieroglyphics. As they take their cameras and smart phones down to the depths of the catacombs, they discover that some parts of ancient Egypt deserve to be left buried.
It’s not (beware: pun) ground-breaking. And nor does it look particularly inviting. The trailers and clips are plagued by its set up and shaky came aspects. Not scary, more dusty and using old horror movie tactics to get the most sensitive to leap from their chairs. Besides that, it just seems a little frail and boring. Also, enjoy this featurette about the movie from the makers of The Hills Have Eyes.
The Pyramid is a nice Christmas treat for all the family – out 5th of December
