It didn’t look great, but last year’s The Maze Runner was a surprisingly great film. It’s the latest young adult book series to be made to film, and there’s a new trailer for the sequel, The Scorch Trials....But done in Minecraft.
Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and the rest of the Gladers have escaped the maze, but now must face their greatest challenge yet: To find clues about the mysterious WCKD, they must search the desolate wasteland known as the Scorch and take on unimaginable obstacles, until they can uncover WCKD’s shocking schemes....But done in Minecraft.
The film itself looks pretty great. The cast is good; there seems to be a Game of Thrones reunion going on as Thomas Brodie Sangster is joined by his co-stars Nathalie Emmanuel and Aiden Gillen, and the film looks to be just as exciting as the first. This trailer is a bit of fun, and quite funny to watch these intense moments redone in the game’s blocky style.
