Young Adult novel The Maze Runner is being adapted into a film. But of course you already knew that because of the all-star cast that has us all so excited for the release. But now for the important question: what does the author, James Dashner, think to how the film was planned? If the author doesn’t like what his book has become, what hope is there for the rest of us? A Behind-the-Scenes video has been released which will answer this question and will either allay, or heighten, your fears. Are you ready?
In the video, James Dashner is given a tour of the set and the locations are stunning are real; they’re not created for the film. Between the sections of Dashner’s tour, his twitter feed is also shown where he gives his opinion, and short clips of the film itself is presented but don’t worry, the clips will tell you nothing about the film. It’s mostly just showing the main aspect to the film; DYLAN O’BRIEN! Oh, and it showcases a few of the different settings too.
Dashner was highly pleased with everything he saw before the filming began. He was seeing the storyboards and set design but he loved it and felt it remained true to the book. That’s a promising piece of news for the book lovers out there. The cast is full of talented young stars that are all lovable in their own ways, the set design is gorgeous and the author is delighted. The film clips included in the video are new and really add to the tension of the film’s release. Will this be the next big thing?
