At the core of this film is the life of author David Foster Wallace and his tour with journalist David Lipsky. Based on the book by the latter, this film travels and enters the conversations the pair have as Wallace dictates his musings on life. Whilst the film hasn’t been endorsed by his estate, the author having committed suicide due to depression would “never have agreed to a film of his image,” the critics are already sending it praises. The key element is that Jason Segal looks to be riveting and poignant while not over stating Wallace in the usual hammy way. This looks enthralling and incredible.
The End of the Tour hits US Cinemas this year but there is no word about a UK release
