Alison Brie and Jason Sudeikis, easily two of the funniest people working today, are doing anything other than sex in the new trailer for Sleeping with Other People.
Lainey (Brie) and Jake (Sudeikis) are two commitment-challenged people; they cannot for the life of them stop cheating on their partners. They even had sex once themselves, but upon meeting again after twelve years, they agree to keep their friendship entirely platonic. It’s a lot easier said than done, but over time, the pair grow to understand what it means to be in a relationship by taking sex out of the equation.
Sudeikis has done a fair few crude comedies in his time, and this certainly looks to be joining the list, but unlike a lot of his films, it also has a lot of heart too. Even from the trailer, you can tell that the pair work well together, and we can never have too much of Alison Brie. With supporting performances from Adam Scott, Amanda Peet and Natasha Lyonne, Sleeping with Other People looks to be a hilarious and heartfelt rom-com.
