November is nearly upon us. For some this means bonfire night, Christmas shopping and a socially acceptable time to start binge eating mince pies. Yet for the film masses, it means that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 is nearly upon us. The first half of The Hunger Games finale will hit cinemas on November 20th and even though Lionsgate may have kept the trailers close to their chest, the promotional material is feeding our anticipation.
Along with Capitol TV bulletins and feeds from President Snow himself, the fifth and final video from District Voices is now available via YouTube.
The series aims to expand the greater universe of The Hunger Games by concentrating on different districts and further establishing the concept of Panem. For fans of the book/film franchise (and there are quite a few of us), it's a chance to delve further into their created world. Each episode has been made by a popular YouTube creator concentrating on the industry of their chosen district. This final video is set in District 6 and made by Justine Ezarik of iJustine’s.
The episode demonstrates the transportation needs that District 6 caters to. Presented by Justine (District Liaison to the Capitol), we see the hover crafts, high-speed trains and trucks built in 6. With a demonstration of the tactical vehicles that transport the "noble" peacekeepers, stressing the need for all to do their duty in preserving the great nation of Panem.
The video is a brilliant demonstration of the propaganda that the Capitol has employed to reign over Panem, ending with a reminder to register for updates from Capitol TV... "It's mandatory."
A great way to engage The Hunger Games' eager audiences, this video series continues to fuel anticipation for the movie event of the year.
Panem today, Panem forever.....
