And, of course, it’s pretty much the same as the other trailers that we have been given, just with the clips in a different order.
Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, is on a mission to crush The Syndicate, an international rogue organization set on destroying the IMF. The Syndicate are trained and armed much like those at the IMF, and so Hunt and his team are set the near “impossible” task of destroying an organization much the same as theirs. How thoroughly gripping.
It would be enthralling, if it didn’t look so similar to all of the Mission Impossible films before it, or so many action films that focus more on the cool stunts, tech, CGI and action than they do on the actual plot itself. Because, watching Tom Cruise perform a load of amazing stunts obviously makes a film utterly brilliant.
Of course, perhaps this film will be a whole new experience compared to its older relatives. Judging by this trailer, however, and the others that have been released for it, it just appears to be another generic action film that really isn’t that great.
Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation comes out in cinemas nationwide on the 30th July.
