Love, Rosie (based on Ahern’s Where Rainbows End) follows Rosie and Alex, best friends since they were little kids, whose lives begin to shift as the possibility that they are meant for each other starts to rear its head. But could such a venture even be workable, advisable, worth it? Filling in the two leads roles are the offensively good-looking pair of Lily Collins and Sam Claflin, and it’s on their shoulders to make the chemistry of Rosie and Alex come to life onscreen.
Ahead of the release later this month, Lionsgate have unveiled two clips from the film that demonstrate some of the things we can expect from Love, Rosie. Pretty people being awkward, a frank approach to the embarrassingly clumsy ways of sex, and the universal cringing that comes with remembering what happened on the drunken night before. There’s charm here, though we’ll need to see just how far that stretches upon the film’s release, but keep an eye out for this during the month if you need a break from all the horror flicks.
Besides, relationships can be just as scary.
Love, Rosie is released on 17th October.
