London Road is a feature film adaptation of the hugely successful play from the National Theatre. Taking place in the town of Ipswich, it tells the story of quite ordinary citizens who have the quiet of their every day life destroyed when five women are found dead.
It's an exciting and innovative approach, as the words of the musical numbers are taken from actual interviews with the residents of London Road. The script was written by Alecky Blythe, the music by Adam Cork and the film was directed by Rufus Norris. This number sees BAFTA Award winning actress Olivia Colman sing “London Road in Bloom.”
