The first clip shows Doc and a few of his friends getting pulled over and, according to the cop, they show all of the signs of being a cult: a group of more than three people, reference to the book of revelation, males with shoulder-length hair or longer and reckless driving. It really shows what America was like at that time, influenced by the arrest of the Mason family. In the second clip, Doc is sitting in front of Lt. Christian ‘Bigfoot’ Bjornson with no with no case with which to charge him. ‘Bigfoot’ belittles Sauncho Smilax, who appears to be defending Doc.
We get to see more of some of the main characters in the film, as well as getting to see what 1970’s Los Angeles is like, with security tight and police being able to drag people into the station with no real rhyme or reason.
Inherent Vice is one of the most anticipated films for the new year, and it will be in UK cinemas on the 30th of January.
