We meet the good-looking-dressed-up-as-homely, Nora Tschirner as Melanie, who is going through a life slump. Melanie crosses paths with gangster Ray, played by Rob Knighton. I love Ray’s cockney look and that he’ll feature in this film, rather than being a bit-part character to show Londoners travelling East for the weekend. The Augustines’ song, Book of James features in this trailer and it in itself is divine. I challenge you to find a trailer now that you come away thinking I’ve got to find that song right this moment! The strong song choice makes me want to see the film, though it also risks overwhelming the quiet trailer itself. It feels like the sort of song, the creative British duo – they direct, write and producer this film - Jones chose, not a public relations marketing expert chose.
Overall this trailer doesn’t promise a lot, it looks like a quiet, tale of two lost soulds, but I suspect that might be the film’s point, after all, life goes on and everyone’s going to die anyway
Perhaps a good reason to give it a go is that it was partly funded on Kickstarter. Can contributors on Kickstarter spot up and coming talent??
Everyone's Going To Die will be heading around theatres and festivals soon!
