Blonde haired, blue eyed beauty Caroline Forbes (Candace Accola) has been a fan favourite since season two of The Vampire Diaries, because let’s face it, she was a royal pain in the keister. After Katherine (Nina Dobrev) killed her, she became awesome, like most everything Kat touches. She has always been popular with the male species, more so since deciding to transition. Caroline is the fans’ baby and we all want the best for her.

Season five has already seen Tyler (Michael Trevino) rip out Caroline’s heart and stomp on it (metaphorically!), and when she finally managed to move on from the douchebag with Jesse (Kendrick Sampson), he was turned into a vampire, thanks to her blood, and killed by her best friend, Elena (Nina Dobrev, again). Caroline has not been having a lot of luck recently but that may be about to change…
As many of you already know, hunky Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) is set to return to Mystic Falls. Will this rekindle the relationship between them or is Caroline still rejecting her obvious attraction to him, despite everything he has done to show her how much he cares and is willing to give up for her?

There are also rumours that she could develop a romance with a main character where there have been hints before. In season one, she immediately felt attracted to him and practically stalked him; in season two he helped her come to terms with her new nature and in season four, they shared an adorable scene which led to them dancing after her whisked her off her feet, literally, and carried her away. They are best friends and she has already proven she will do anything for him. She is his Lexi. That’s right. The rumours are hinting at a Steroline relationship! For anyone who does not know, this would be Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline.
These rumours have originated from a spoiler that has been released recently about Caroline needing to confess something to Elena:
‘Caroline makes a stunning confession to Elena, then has to face the consequence of her actions with Stefan and Tyler.’
Could this be as a result of her feelings for Stefan growing or could this be in reference to her hearing Stefan and Katherine hooking up as Elena still is not aware of this? What else do you think she may need to confess? This revelation will be revealed in the January 30th episode so make sure you don’t miss it!
