What do you get when you bring back ‘Anything Can Happen’ Thursdays? A whole lot of indecisiveness apparently! And no, it’s not just from Sheldon this time; it is also Penny and Leonard who can’t seem to decide what to do on their new whimsical day.
What do you get when you bring back ‘Anything Can Happen’ Thursdays? A whole lot of indecisiveness apparently! And no, it’s not just from Sheldon this time; it is also Penny and Leonard who can’t seem to decide what to do on their new whimsical day.
The latest episode of The Big Bang Theory sees Sheldon still trying to decide what field of study to pursue, following his complicated break-up with String Theory in the previous. Whilst trying to strike off his options, Penny suggests that he do something new. The three are pleased with their choice, but then struggle to figure out what to do, Bernadette is at work and Amy is suffering from some sort of ailment (but don’t ask Sheldon, because he has no idea), whilst Howard is over at his mother’s house with Raj (no surprises there, then).
In Casa Wolowitz, Raj and Howard are psyching themselves up to try and watch a creepy horror movie that Emily wants to watch with Raj later. As expected, the movie is two parts disturbing, one part psychotic. When Raj and Emily sit down to watch the film, Emily admits that she finds it disturbing as well, but that it turns her on, and Raj happily plays the film, hoping to get laid.

Back engulfing themselves in Thursday frivolity, Penny, Sheldon and Leonard wander the streets looking for a new restaurant to try when Penny spots Bernadette and Amy through the window of a restaurant. Penny and Sheldon continue on without Leonard, exploring Asian Fusion and a psychic store, where the ‘clairvoyant’ tells Sheldon he should open up to Amy more. This part of the episode was much better, as Penny and Sheldon always make a great friendship duo and seem to go on the best journeys together. It was also nice to see Amy and Sheldon’s relationship developing more (albeit marginally) and the ending scene with the catholic school girl’s uniform was, quite possibly, the best of the entire episode.
