Well that was intense! The penultimate episode to the Frozen story arc began to draw in all the loose ends, reuniting Anna and Elsa, seeing Rumplestiltskin return to his manipulative ways, and learning that pirates are better than wizards as the spell of shattered sight curse clouds move towards the town. Oh and we got a sneak preview into Frozen 2… sort of.

But the moment we had all been waiting for: the Arendelle awakening/defrosting, and the reunion of our two favourite Disney sisters. The Frozen film is filled with humour, one liners and sarcasm, and even without the famous snowman the ONCE version has not disappointed, albeit taking a very different route to any anticipated story planning for Frozen 2 (we’d assume). 30 years after they were cursed by the Snow Queen, a.k.a Aunt Ingrid (Elizabeth Mitchell), Anna (Elizabeth Lail) and Kristoff (Scott Michael Foster) found themselves defrosted, then locked in a chest and tossed overboard by stalker Hans (Tyler Jacob Moore) and Captain Blackbeard (Charles Mesure) on The Jolly Roger. We then learnt that Anna’s necklace was actually a WISHING STAR, which saved Anna and Kristoff from a watery grave and we viewers an utterly crushing ending. It was a great reunion, but very simple after the big build up which was, quite frankly, stressful. It warranted an emotional sobbing session.

The finale cannot come soon enough as we see our much-loved characters turn on one another as Anna, Elsa and Emma race to find a ‘cure’ for yet another curse and face off against the Snow Queen. It’s going to be epic.
