After two somewhat dull weeks, I can safely say that Homeland has returned to its original glory! So, what’s going on this week?
Carrie begs her psychiatrist to pass on a message to Saul that she’s doing better and is sorry. She suffers an out of control moment where she hits her head against a mirror in the bathroom, which her nurse chooses not report.
Carrie is visited at the ward by a representative of a law firm, who offer to help Carrie get released if she is willing to talk to an associate. Carrie refuses, thinking she’ll be asked to turn on the CIA. The episode ends as Brody prepares to inject himself with heroin.
But Brody’s in a bit of a rut isn’t he? Honestly, I knew him and Carrie would never have a happy ending. But it still makes me upset to see how things have turned out. I mean, I really wanted them to get together. But now they’re at two different places and I wonder if they’ll ever meet again. Damian Lewis is back on top form as Brody, and we welcome him back with open arms. And once again, Danes was excellent.
I’m finally glad to say that the show is back to what is used to be, so let’s hope it stays that way!
