Has your life been left empty due to the lack of The Walking Dead on our screens? Well fear not my friends, for Season Five starts in October, and that’s only four short months away! Season Four was far and away one of the best seasons so far, with some stellar episodes and performances. The season finale saw the majority of our heroes trapped in Terminus, a place they were led to believe would be a haven for survivors, but instead, a possible home of cannibals. The only characters not to be captured yet are Carol, Tyreese and baby Judith, who are the stars of this first clip released for Season Five.

Honestly, it does. The promo for this season finale took clips of ordinary, non-dangerous scenes, and turned them into a scary as hell promo. Not to mention they didn’t include any footage past the first 20 minutes of the episode. It did exactly what a promo should do, and we weren’t disappointed witnessing this mesmerising season finale. by Robbie Jones Guys, I don’t want to alarm you, but something big has happened. I....I don’t know how to put it. I can’t even believe it yet. But it needs to be said, as it is a moment in history to be remembered. Brace yourselves..... .....This week’s Walking Dead had a happy ending. *world turns to havoc* by Robbie Jones One of the biggest parts of my education these past two years was reading the novel Of Mice and Men. Everyone’s heard of it, John Steinbeck’s 1930s novel of two men who get jobs at a ranch during the great depression. Since finishing the film, the ending has been stuck in my head. I think about it often, especially when revising, and ponder the emotional turmoil that must come with a necessary evil. Those thoughts returned this week as The Walking Dead presented one of its gut wrenching and harrowing episodes to date. by Ben Mapp The Walking Dead is at its best when it puts everything into the power of its visuals and keeps the dialogue toned down and reserved. One of the more powerful scenes of the show, for instance, came from the almost silent opening to Season Three, which truly embodied the chameleonic stages of desperation of which this zombie apocalypse must – logically – overwhelm these characters on an almost daily basis. by Robbie Jones Nowhere is safe in The Walking Dead. Any kind of camp or shelter must be snatched away from Rick and his survivors. Hershel’s farm, the prison, and now their abandoned house, by a group of bandits no less. Of course, the show would have hardly any development if they got to stay cosy for the rest of their lives. Change is essential, and it seems their new course will take Rick, Carl and Michonne all the way back to Judith. By Robbie Jones Rick, Carl and Michonne are down, and now it’s time to catch up with the rest of the group, as each section of it get twenty minutes to show us what’s happened since leaving the prison. By Robbie Jones The Walking Dead is back! Yes, Frank Darabont’s uneven but entertaining zombie drama has returned to our screens after an agonising two month break. But before we get started, let’s quickly recap the life ruining mid season finale that was Too Far Gone.... By Christian Kern Welcome to the Tombs, the sixteenth episode of The Walking Dead season 3 was probably the most anticipated episode all year. We open with the Governor torturing Milton. As we know, Milton had betrayed his friend, the Governor by destroying the biters in the pit traps a few episodes back. We learn why the Governor takes the heads of his victims as he tells Milton; you take the heads not to forget, as he blames himself for the fate of his daughter. Milton gives Andrea a chance to escape, leaving pliers on the floor. The Governor gives Milton a chance to make amends by having him kill Andrea but Milton makes an attempt on the Governor and fails as the Governor stabs him repeatedly! He then tells Milton in life or death he will kill Andrea, leaving him to die. By Christian Kern Episode 15 of The Walking Dead, This Sorrow Life, opens with Rick, Herschel and Daryl discussing their next play. Rick has given in and believes that sacrificing Michonne to the Governor is his only move. Even though both Herschel and Daryl feel this isn’t the group and how they operate, they side with Rick. However Rick needs one more onboard so he approaches Merle, asking him why he does what he does. Merle answers that he has no idea what has shaped him, however he sees straight through the sheriff and calls Rick on his mask of bullshit, telling him he hasn’t the guts or the spine for what he intends to do next. |
