![]() by Catherine Wignall Back from a month-long hiatus, heroes were the name of the game this week, unsung or otherwise. ![]() by Leah Stone Since the mid-season finale, the quality of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes has gone downhill, there’s no way around it. The first half of the series was very strong, exploring the powers of the obelisk and Skye’s change. But now the action has dropped off, the plot lacks any real depth and the new characters we are introduced to are weak. ![]() by Graham Osborne Worry no longer folks, for Community has returned to our computer screens! Yes, after receiving the boot from NBC, Yahoo have picked up this wonderful comedy for a sixth season, will we complete the prediction and get a movie before the thirteen episodes are up? Only time will tell. ![]() The stakes are high for Selina and her team in the third season of this hilarious political comedy. Starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus in her three time Emmy®-winning role, the Emmy®-nominated series VEEP, created by Oscar® nominee Armando Iannucci, follows the whirlwind day-to-day existence of Vice President Selina Meyer. VEEP: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON is released on Blu-ray and DVD on 30th March 2015 from HBO Home Entertainment. The full season and episodes are also available to own and watch instantly on Amazon Instant Video, blinkbox, Google Play™, iTunes, Wuaki.tv and Xbox Video. ![]() BETRAYAL IS THE PRICE OF POWER Epic drama, Vikings, returns exclusively to HISTORY® for the UK premiere of the hotly- anticipated and adrenaline-fuelled second series. Created and written by Michael Hirst, the brains behind the Academy Award-winning film Elizabeth and Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series The Tudors, Vikings follows the action-packed adventures of heroic Norse warrior and family man, Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) as he longs to find and conquer new lands. ![]() by Catherine Wignall Let’s be real here. Does the world really need another zombie TV story? Haven’t we reached zombie saturation point now? Can we really say zombies aren’t heading the way of the sparkly teen vampire? Well, no, actually. Despite the plethora of zombie media ravaging our screens at the moment it has all managed to stay decidedly male. Rob Thomas (creator of cult hit Veronica Mars) and Diane Ruggiero-Wright have decided to finally fill that girl-shaped void with iZombie, and it’s about time too. ![]() by Hayley Charlesworth I am a die-hard Neighbours obsessive. I own records from former actors’ music careers, both good and bad. I have a picture of Dr Karl Kennedy hung up on my bedroom wall. I am a member of The Art of Neighbours, a Facebook group that depicts scenes from the show in MS Paint. It’s fair to say I’m quite the fan. And with today marking the 30th anniversary of Neighbours airing in the UK, it was only fitting that I mark this occasion by highlighting some of the moments that made Neighbours truly great. ![]() by Julia Lawson Neighbours. Everybody needs good NEIGHBOURS! Thanks to Channel 5, many of us over in the UK are very familiar with the catchy, sunny soap which glorifies life the Australian suburbs. It is amazing to think that the show has reached its 30th Anniversary and the number of storylines covered in that time. ![]() by Robbie Jones Breaking Bad painted Saul Goodman as a bit of scumbag. He lacked a lot of morals, but Jimmy McGill certainly does not. This week’s episode of Better Call Saul is far from great, but in terms of character development, it did an excellent job. ![]() by Cookie N Screen It’s really hard, nowadays, to do a comedy television series. In this overtly offended world where people would blow up at the simplest of jokes, it seems that people are trying harder to provoke than deliver sound and rounded amusement. One country that seems to strike a right tone, darkly humours spliced with slapstick and wordplay is Ireland. It seems only fair to share a little bit of history from the Emerald Isle this St. Patrick’s Day! |
